In this unit I learned that not all information on all sites are trust worthy. Sometimes the author can be making up whatever he/she says because it sounds smart. Sometimes the author might not even be qualified for what he/she is writing about. The author could even still be in elementary school! So every website you look at for information, you should always look up the author and make sure you can find: His work address, his phone number, what he is qualified for, his email address and probably most importantly, his name. You should also check on multiple sites to see if the information is different, or if it's just a copy.
.gov = Government
.com = Commercial
.edu = Education
.org = Organization
.net = Network
If there is a ~ in the address, it means that it is an author's web page not an official page.
